We install meters on each home's utility line, collect wireless reads daily, and bill each resident for exactly what they use. Water is the most common utility to meter, but gas and electricity can be metered too. Once residents pay for their own usage, water consumption usually drops 15 to 30 percent and most owners see payback in 12 to 18 months. The total billed to residents never exceeds your master-meter cost. For homes that cannot be metered, ratio or formula-based billing is an option.
