Accessibility Statement.

Effective September 2026. National Exemption Service LLC, submeter.com.

NES works to make submeter.com, the resident portal, and printed statements usable for everyone, including people with disabilities.

We build to WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 AA is the standard we hold the site to. We test with keyboard navigation and screen readers as part of our work and fix issues as we find them.

Statements in accessible formats on request.

Large print, a screen-reader-friendly PDF, or plain text email: ask for the format you need at csr@submeter.com or by phone, and we will set it up.

Accessibility is ongoing work, not a one-time project.

We keep testing and improving as pages change. If something is hard to use, tell us and we will look at it quickly.

NES Accessibility Statement.

NES works to keep submeter.com, the resident portal, and the manager portal usable for everyone. We build to WCAG 2.2 Level AA and test with keyboards and screen readers. Some content may not fully meet that target yet, and we treat that as work in progress. If you run into a barrier, please tell us so we can fix it.

Questions

What if I encounter an accessibility issue?
Email csr@submeter.com or call (800) 488-1748. Describe the issue and the page or screen where it happened. We treat accessibility reports as a priority and aim to respond within five business days.
Are alternative billing formats available?
Yes. We offer large-print statements, screen-reader-friendly PDFs, and plain text email on request. Contact csr@submeter.com to change your delivery format.
Is the resident portal screen-reader compatible?
The portal targets WCAG 2.2 AA and is tested with major screen readers, including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver. If you hit a specific problem, report it and we will address it.
What is the accessibility toolbar on this site?
We run a UserWay toolbar that lets you adjust things like contrast, text size, and spacing to suit how you read. It is there for convenience, and we want to be clear about what it is not. A toolbar cannot make a website conformant, it is not how we meet WCAG 2.2 AA, and it does not replace building the site properly. If this site does not work for you with the toolbar switched off, that is a problem we want to hear about at csr@submeter.com.
