Don't see your brand? Send us a photo of the meter face. We work on plenty of meters we didn't sell, and if parts aren't available anymore we'll tell you what fits.
Badger Meter submeters
Badger Meter makes water meters you'll find in a lot of apartment submetering systems, usually paired with a wireless transmitter on top.
We repair, replace and stock Badger meters. When one stops reading, it's usually the transmitter or its battery rather than the meter itself, and that can be swapped without cutting the pipe.

Cereniti submeters
Cereniti runs the DataSense Network for submetering electric, water and gas.
NES sells and services Cereniti equipment, including replacements on systems we didn't install.

Inovonics submetering transmitters
Inovonics makes the wireless transmitters, repeaters and receivers that carry readings from the meter to the billing system. The meter itself is often another brand.
We stock Inovonics transmitters and batteries and replace them on site. Getting the exact model matters here, because two transmitters in the same family can need different fixes.
- Battery. The EN1501 transmitter takes a replaceable battery. The EN1501-XL has a long-life battery that isn't meant to be replaced, so the transmitter gets swapped instead.
- Right battery only. Inovonics warns that the wrong battery can shorten battery life or damage the transmitter. Source: Inovonics (opens in a new tab).

Leviton electric submeters
Leviton makes electric submeters that read through current transformers (CTs) clamped around each unit's wiring.
NES sells and services Leviton submeters. Older units that can't be repaired get replaced with a current model.
- Wired wrong. Series 2000 meters have a reverse-phase light that comes on when the meter is installed incorrectly. Negative or impossible readings usually mean a CT is on backwards.
- Discontinued. Leviton lists the Series 2000 as discontinued. The newer Series 2500 (VerifEye) shows diagnostic alarms, including reverse energy. Source: Leviton (opens in a new tab).

Master Meter submeters
Master Meter makes water meters for submetering, including a compact meter built for tight closets and a hot water meter.
We stock and replace Master Meter equipment, including on systems another company put in.
- Radio options. Master Meter offers LoRa, 3G and third-party radio options. If your system runs on 3G, plan for it now, since the major US carriers have shut down their 3G networks. Source: Master Meter (opens in a new tab).

Neptune submeters
Neptune Technology Group makes water meters and the radios that read them.
NES sells, repairs and replaces Neptune meters. As with most wireless systems, a unit reading zero is more often the radio or its battery than the meter body.

Next Meters (NextCentury) submeters
Next Meters, formerly NextCentury Submetering Solutions, makes wireless water submeters and the gateways and app that set them up.
We sell, install and service Next Meters equipment. If you know them as NextCentury, it's the same company and the same meters.
- Flow direction. Water has to flow the way the arrows on the meter body point. A meter put in backwards won't read right.
- Setup. Configuration happens in the Next Meters app, connected to the meter with the register lid open. Source: Next Meters (opens in a new tab).

Norgas gas submeters
Norgas makes gas meters and water meters. Its NG4 is a diaphragm gas meter built for submetering, with a sealed register and a pulse output for remote reading.
NES sells and services Norgas meters for gas submetering. Gas work follows your state's rules, and our gas submetering guide covers those.

Sensus submeters
Sensus, now part of Xylem, makes water, gas and electric meters, including the iPERL water meter.
We stock, repair and replace Sensus meters at apartment communities.
- Manufacturer help. Sensus runs a support line, live chat and a document library with manuals and troubleshooting guides. Source: Sensus (opens in a new tab).

Ordering parts or a replacement
Send the brand, model and quantity, or a photo of the meter if you're not sure. NES keeps meters, transmitters, batteries and gateways in stock, and most orders ship the next business day. Larger orders ship by pallet, coordinated with your property manager.
You can install them yourself with the manufacturer's documentation, or have NES technicians do it. Our technicians are NES employees, not subcontractors. For pricing and buy or lease options, see meters and equipment. Deciding between a fix and a new meter? Read submeter repair and replacement.
Product names are trademarks of their owners. NES sells and services these brands. Notes summarize each manufacturer's published materials, so check their sites for current specs.
